Snakes Rising

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Holy crap! First, the comic. We wanted to join with the rest of the webulon and devote a comic to a great movie and a great game. Those of course are Snakes on a Plane and Dead Rising, respectively. Our idea was to blend the two to become the greatest comic ever developed… in IRL.

I’ve played the game extensively since it was released, owing at least 40 hours to it to unlock it’s wonderful hidden treasures. My greatest achievement? The mega blaster, of course. Who wouldn’t want to pound through the game firing the best weapon Mega Man can get equipped with? Honestly though, killing 53,584 zombies may seem tedious, at best, but when you get right down to it, who doesn’t like plowing through a huge freaking pile of zombies on the way to achievement glory? Four hours and a town full of zombified corpses later, a nice shiny weapon appeared behind the air duct.

As for Snakes on a Plane, well, anyone who says anything other than it was the greatest movie of the summer is either a liar… or a liar. We saw it a couple days after release because we were busy with other things at the time. Important things, like getting shitfaced. But believe me, when we saw it we joined in with Sam Jackson in the masterful retelling of his hatred for reptilian, slithering beasts as they occupied seats upon an airliner and copulated with someone’s parental female. It’s movie-going at it’s finest. And it was a matinee, so it was cheap! Hoorah!

I want to close this up by apologizing for not updating more recently. We’ve all been busy with one thing or another and had to take some time off to tend to that stuff. Catch you next week.
